On Monday, I had lunch with my editor at Jane Restaurant in New York. Two observations: 1) The poached salmon salad was very good. 2) It was the first time my editor and I had ever met face to face, and I think we hit it off. He’s enthusiastic about Kamera, and even compared it to The Usual Suspects, which is much too kind. (Even I wouldn’t claim that my novel is quite that great.)

The big news is that Kamera is now scheduled to come out in February of 2012, with the sequel to follow at the end of the year. According to my editor, the launch meeting will probably take place in four or five months, at which point I’ll hopefully have more information about cover design, blurbs, and other fun topics.

In the meantime, the fact that the sequel is coming out in December 2012 makes me wonder if it should look something like this:
